Slovenia is endowed with many natural beauties. Therefore it’s certainly not a waste of time if during the summer break, you use some time to see this beutiful country.

Slovenia is mostly overgrown with trees. It is the third most forested country in Europe. If you want to spend the day in the nature, there are many natural parks, which account for more than 10 percent of the territory of Slovenia. They are ideal for people who want peace and relaxation. In the Triglav National Park there is a beautiful mountainous group of Slovenian Julian Alps. Besides these there are also Kamniške Alps, where are the well-marked paths. On the tours you can rest at the beautiful waterfalls and by the rivers, or you can enjoy the adrenaline sports or fishing. In eastern Slovenia, where are thermal and mineral springs, there are built modern spas, where you can relax after a stressful work week. Points of interest are also hidden underground in Kraške caves. The largest among them is the Postojna Cave.

Easter

Easter (Greek: Πάσχα, Ethiopic: ፍሲካ, Pascha) is the most important annual religious feast in the Christian liturgical year.[1] According to Christian scripture, Jesus was resurrected from the dead three days[2] after his crucifixion. Christians celebrate this resurrection on Easter Day or Easter Sunday[3] (also Resurrection Day or Resurrection Sunday), two days after Good Friday and three days after Maundy Thursday.

Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday is a Christian moveable feast which always falls on the Sunday before Easter Sunday. The feast commemorates an event mentioned by all four Canonical Gospels Mark 11:1-11, Matthew 21:1-11, Luke 19:28-44, and John 12:12-19: the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem in the days before his Passion.

In many Christian churches, Palm Sunday is marked by the distribution of palm leaves (often tied into crosses) to the assembled worshipers. The difficulty of procuring palms for that day’s ceremonies in unfavorable climates for palms led to the substitution of boughs of box, yew, willow or other native trees. The Sunday was often designated by the names of these trees, as Yew Sunday or by the general term Branch Sunday.
